Salwa Khoerunasibah’s first introduction to the Young Athletes Program began when she received a recommendation from her school. Since then, noticeable positive changes have emerged. Although the process has not always been easy and often required extra patience from both her family and teachers, Salwa’s development has gradually shown meaningful progress.

The Young Athletes Program began implementation at SLB Permata Ciranjang in September 2025 as part of the school’s commitment to supporting early childhood motor development. Through the school and supplemental programs like Young Athletes, Salwa—who previously spent most of her time alone at home—now has a space to interact with others. In this environment, she learns to socialize with her peers, receives guidance from her teachers, and is encouraged to become more independent.

Since joining various activities, Salwa has appeared noticeably more cheerful and active—a significant change from before. The activities she participates in help her express herself and gradually build her confidence.

Salwa’s mother, Mimin Suminar, first learned about the program through information shared by the school. Her hope was simple: that Salwa could develop more optimally and grow into a more independent individual. Mimin feels happy and proud to see her daughter able to move with purpose, participate in activities, and socialize with her friends.

In the past, Salwa was known as a quiet child who struggled with social interaction. Now, she appears more cheerful and brave enough to blend in with others. Although the journey has been tiring at times—requiring her mother to constantly accompany and support her, especially on difficult days—all of the effort feels worthwhile when she sees Salwa growing happily.

Activities such as gymnastics, obstacle games, and group sports have helped Salwa become more physically active while improving her focus. She has begun to show real commitment in participating, and even at home, she often asks to practice the simple exercises she learns at school. Her screen time has also decreased, replaced with healthier and more engaging activities.
